Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The radical improvements by James Watt of the Newcomen design improved the power, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of steam engines. In 1775 he went into partnership with Matthew Boulton to design and build them commercially. Opened in 1796, the Soho Foundry had built 41 engines by 1800. Artwork from 'Chaudieres et Machines a Vapeur' (1911) by French civil engineer Max de Nansouty (1854-1913), part of the 'Les merveilles de la science' series of 1867-1891 by Louis Figuier.
